my psychedlic gym experience
so last night i was at the mission cliffs riding the eliptical trainer machine, and as i was looking out onto the gym (the elipticals face all the rock walls from off in the corner), i noticed the contrast of the red-orange rock wall with the blue mat, which (i think intentionally) bears a remarkable resemblance to rivers and rocks in the colorado plateau. this of course flashed me back to being in utah, but then it was weird because observing the big open dimensions of the gym and riding the eliptical kind of felt like piloting this cool peddle-aircraft through a canyon. and then that daft punk song digital love came on my headphones which reeeaaally made it feel like flying, but added a cool outer space element to it all. subsequently while my vision became bleary the crazy-colored tape that mark the routes on the rock walls came to the fore kind of uniting the daft punk cosmos with the gym-rocks and mat-rivers, and my exercise routine became some epic canyon-cruising techno space adventure.
