QAF author recs
In a response to comments, I've created a list of authors who have not been active in the QAF fandom for a long time, but are worth reading (and rereading) anyway.
soundczech, whose work is archived in her memories. Her influence on my own writing is very obvious; she did have the tendency to not finish her longer work, but read them anyway. She also managed to beautifully pull off things that, normally you would never read. At which point I say that, even if it makes you a little weirded out, read White Collar. It's totally worth it.
darksylvia, at her website. Her work is all very in-character and well written.
seperis, at her website. Another author who writes everyone in-character; both she and darksylvia are kind to Ethan, who needs it. Also, her work is nice and dark. I totally recommend her vampire!Brian fic, which I won't do very often.
triciaqaf OMG wonderful D/s, which really takes a combination of skill and experience. I'm such a silly slut (as Emmet would say) for work attire!Brian and for dominant!Brian. When she put them together, I nearly went blind with happiness.
And while I'm at it, ashmedai, who has written maybe four fics. Also, his journal is F-locked, less from him being a weirdo than from keeping meanies and kiddies out. Therefore, I'll give three good reasons: 1) good D/s is hard to find under any circumstances, and his original writing is also worth it. 2) He's a guy; for being a fandom based around gay men, we're overflowing with estrogen. 3)Alex is super nice and totally worth knowing on a personal basis.
Randall Morgan wrote very good fic; however his rage at 513, however, led to some writing choices on "Sixty Tricks in Sixty Days" and "Adrian to Brian, Brian to Adrian" that wreaks a vaguely of self-insertion. (As a warning)
Paul Plesko is a writer of a different sort, using his own personal experience to write gritty stories that you almost don't want to know. His work focuses around Brian almost in its entirety, to the point where a number don't even include Justin. Read it anyway.
Rhiannon Hero, both at her website and livejournal. She adores Justin, and somewhat pointedly doesn't write monogamy-fic. (Not that there isn't work that's only Brian and Justin, she just doesn't think they'd ever do it).
bigboobedcanuck in her memories.
Lane Carson at her website; I'm a big fan of stories that were written between season releases, and Holding On To Let You Go was written before season three was released. It's an unspoiled guess of what could happen after 220! Also, Been Here Before is a nice break from the mould.

I didn't include every author whose work I enjoyed; for this reason, I highly recommend going to the links or recs sections on the website (especially Seperis') for more, even if not all of the links work, as that's how I found a lot of these authors.
