How many people can you think of that's life has been affected by Cancer?
If you can think of one, then that is one too many.
In Michigan alone, 48,250 people were diagnosed with some form of cancer in 2006. 2006 and it is only April. Since the beginning of the year -- 1,399,790 People in the United States have been Diagnosed.
We hear the word, and we know the facts, and we know the signs, and were a little afraid of it -- But do you ever sit down and say "I might get Cancer tomorrow"....No. You probably say... "It'll never happen to me" -- 1,399,790 People probably thought the same thing until some doctor proved them wrong.
So lets stop it!! Or at least try.
Cancer isn't just going to go away. And maybe your fine with that, because it doesn't affect you. But what if it did. Would you wish that somehow they would find a cure then.
When you see your friend in tears everyday, sitting on pins trying to ignore each passing day closer to the "6 months left" the doctor gave their mom.
Would you do something then?
6 months is at 12 weeks now. In 12 weeks I have a funeral to go to. Your supposed to plan weddings, and birthdays, and parties, NOT funerals.
Why wait?...
How much do spend a month on Junk -- Fast Food, Cigarettes, Lottery, Movies, CD's, -- Skip it for just ONE month.
Take the money you would blow on JUNK and save someone's life.
$10.00 even. If every person I send this email to would give $10.00....that would be $250.00 closer to finding a cure for cancer.
Hero's arnt just people who physically save someone's life and get an award for it.
In 12 weeks I wanna know that I did everything I could to TRY to prevent it from happening again.
On June 10th I will be walking in the 24 Hour "Relay for Life" Raising awareness and Money to someday find a cure for cancer.
