people are so so so so so stupid sometimes.
Isn't it stupid to trade something that means a lot to you for something temporary?
Is it EVER worth it? No. Of course, God can teach lessons through any and everything, I know that. I just don't understand how people can consciously choose present gratification when they know full well the end result.
Immaturity. Freaking immaturity.
A temporary sedative, like alcohol or drugs will work for a while. It might seem to make the pain go away entirely. But the problem with sedatives is that they always, always, always wear off. You'll finally realize how much of an idiot you are for trying to suppress the pain instead of deal with it. But sometimes, there isn't any time left for any healing. The damage has been done. You traded what you wanted most for what you wanted NOW.
