Family Day.. (aka The Great Escape) & New Ride Review
Me, koffeefrkeleven, The Munchkin, My Mom, My Day And Shitcake all went to the Great Escape today. :) The Target Warehouse where my mom works has a "Target Day" every year. For $12.50 a person (children under 2 are free) we get Open-Close admission to the park and splashwater kingdom, Free food from 11am-1:30pm, and free Sodas all day! My mom paid for the tickets.. so it was that much better. :)
After the week koffeefrkeleven and I have had.. we needed a day like this. Also, the reminder that we do still enjoy being in each others company was much needed.
koffeefrkeleven took the munchkin on the Kiddie Rollercoaster.. LOL.. The minchkins face was priceless.. he had a look of pure terror. He did however love riding on the trucks, the train, and the cars. Shitcake and I got koffeefrkeleven to go on the Boomerang for the first time.. He went on 3 times today! Munchkin had a pretty ok time in spalshwater kingdom, but didn;t hang out too long cause he was cranky.
koffeefrkeleven after some proding, convinced me to go on the new water ride (The Tornado). IT IS FUCKED UP!!!! LOL.. I almost chickened out at the last minute, but sucked it up and I am so glad I did. BEST WATER RIDE EVER!!!!!! You sit on a tube equipped with handles (which you WILL use). You got down an almost 90 degree free fall drop (which I went down backwards) into the six story high Funnel where you are directly parellel to the person across from you.. To give you an idea of how the ride is: It's a joke with my family that I am the quiest person in the park when on rides.. I dont' scream.. I just kind of sit there and enjoy it... Well, not on the Tornado.. My throat still hurts.. I don't think I have screamed like that since I was 4 years old and my mom took me on Space Mountain @ Disney. koffeefrkeleven said my face was what pure terror looks like.. (which is not a bad thing) It was SO SO SO SO worth the 45 minute wait! I wanna go back to the GE and just spend my whole day riding the Tornado..
So despite a 2nd Degree Sunburn (I was even wearing sunscreen.. LOL..) and my Sciatica acting up all day I had one of the best times in a while. Tomorrow, however, starts a new week of trying to squeeze a dollar out of a penny. I'm off to apply another Lidocaine patch to my back and Vinegar to my sunburn.. Night all!
