My wonderful husband and I are planning a trip with our seed to Chicago sometime around early/mid-may. We are gonna be driving, using Pennsylvania as a stop over point.
If anyone knows of some fun (and affordable) things to do and see in Penn. and Chicago, let me know here. It will help make my planning go easier.
I have learned 2 things today:
1. Easy Off oven cleaner is some fucking nasty shit
2. I am so not a housewife.
I spent a good deal of my morning on my hands and knees scrubbing the grease off the oven because it smokes everytime you turn it on. I now have little chemical burns on my arms, a headache, and I'm dizzy to boot.
One day when I am rich.. I am hiring a maid. I don't do housework, fuck that.
The munckin seems to have gotten over his pink-eye quite rapidly, and somehow neither Rob or myself managed to contract it!
We are planning on taking the munchkin for a speech evaluation. He talks, a lot, and he knows what he is saying, but we can't make it out, except for a few words. I think it's physical and not learning, because he knows what things are even if he can't say the word right ("kitty kat" sounds like "key-ga" and please comes out sounding like "bees"), and it's not hearing because the kid can hear you open a soup can from his bedroom with the door shut.
I honestly believe he is tounge-tied. My mother backs me up on that too because I was tounge-tied, and she says the way Robbie speaks is very similar to how I did.
To correct being tounge-tied, it's just a small very very minor surgery. I was older when they did it (8) so I remeber it quite well. The pain of it was just a tiny bit worse than getting my tounge pierced. The after effects are about the same too. You have to keep your mouth clean at all times, and your tounge swells, but it goes away in like 2 days.
Wish us luck.
