Kevin Rudd can make as many promises as he likes, say "yes" to everyone, be a slave to the unions... anything. In fact he could possibly propose libertarian policies (doubtful, but possible). We'll have to wait and see. But no matter what he proposes, it's going to mean very little in the end if Labour take power and instead of a thriving economy, we're left in debt, as Labour always seem to manage when they're given responsibility.
Regardless of whether you're libertarian or socialist (or anything in-between), if the government you elect can't manage the economy or the defence of our nation, they won't be able to uphold any promises they may make.
