I like walking through downtown Charleston with you at night
Even though we don't have time to do it any more
And even though we live in a different state.
You say you don't like having to find parking,
But I will follow you anywhere.
Your people have become my people.
Although I will not take your religion.
Or lack thereof, although I will let you play the confusion card for now.
It is confusing. As in A Severe Mercy,
We will both ask questions to see
If there is a God, and what He looks like.
Although for me, it will be more like seeking a face I already know.
I want to take this journey with you.
