One year ago . . . third, and final take

One year ago today, my Uncle Paul passed away. I took it harder than I would have thought, but my grandparents and his daughter, Tonya had it the hardest. She was planning her wedding and had just recently talked to him about giving her away. I still feel bad for her and wish there was something, anything, I could do for her.

Curtis posted a bulletin that I found particularly ironic today. It's titled 'Road Warriors' and he dedicated it to his Mom & Dad. I add my Uncle Paul, both grandfathers, and Aunt Tresa to that!

THEY'VE BATTLED THE WIND'S THEY'VE BATTLED THE RAIN'S,THE ICE AND SLEET HAS SLOWED THERE TRAIN.

THE WINDOW'S FOGED THERE EYE'S ARE HEAVY,THE ROAD IS LOST JUST PAST THE NOSE.

LOVED ONE'S PRAY LORD GUIDE THEM SAFE AND SEE THEM THOUGHT THE NIGHT.

THE RISK AND FUSS THEY DO NOT FEAR THEY MUST BE THERE BY MORNNING DUSK.

YOU DO NOT CREDIT THEM YOU DO NOT CARE, TO YOU THEY ARE DRIVER'S, DRIVER'S OF THE RIGG.

THOSE WHO KNOW AND THOSE WHO CARE, KNOW THE LINGUAL, BEAR CALL, AND O' FOUR.

THEY BATTLE THE ELAMENT'S THEY BATTLE THE FRIGHT'S, THEY ARE THE ROAD WARRIOR'S, THE ROAD WARRIOR'S OF THE NIGHT.

WAVE AS YOU DRIVE BY , SIGNAL THE AIR HORN WITH A QUICK MOTION OF YOUR ARM.

SHOW THE TRUCKER'S YOU CARE AND SUPORT WHAT THEY DO, WITH OUT BEEING ASKED FOR YOU.
