LOL, Justice indeed!
Anyway, I'm feeling a little more awake now although this morning I was on a flashy mac now I'm on a shitter one, bah.
Freshers Fair was ok, got lots of leaflets, a few sweets, a handful of condoms etc and I signed up to the film society, I feel like a bit of a geek lol! Alas, a pound per film showing cannot be sniffed at my friends.
I worked myself out a budget yesterday (yes I have been that shocking organised, adding to my geek status I feel) it's really scary actually how little money I have to live on. In perspective, what I was earning in a month now has to last me 4 and I have a billion more things to pay for, although I suppose there are a few things I now don't actually have to pay, but it's not much.
But yes I shall tell you about me busy few days.
I moved into my halls on Sunday, my room actually looked like a cell when i first got there i.e. bare bed, breeze block walls etc. But I've got all my stuff in now and it's ok. I just need to get some posters and stuff for the walls and maybe a plant or something. Spent the evening aquaintencing myself with my house mates in the student bar, I'll tell you about them:
+ Rochelle - Studying Fine Art. Lives in the room next to mine. Ridiculously unorganised and messy. Quite quiet. Eats Organic Food. Reminds me a bit of Lins.
+ Helen - Also Fine Art. Seems to drink quite a lot. Looks a bit like Emma.
+ Francesca aka Chess - Youngest of us I think. Studies Animation. Rock Chic kinda thing going on. Quite Loud.
+ Henry - On my course. Obviously gay. Comes from Totnes. Probably my best friend here so far.
+ Peter - Studying Animation. Long blonde hair. Don't really know him very well to be honest, but I don't think much would phase him.
+ Simon - Film Student. Deceiving first impression led me to believe he was a unsociable towny, totally wrong. Used to work as a chef.
+ James aka The Phantom - Nobody met him for a couple of days. Bit of a chav. Likes 50 Cent. Loud when drunk. Has a sidekick.
So yeah, that's everybody. There's like 5 flats in each building I think, 8 people in each flat. There's lots of buildings, I don't know how many.
Monday I had various dull introductions to various things including my course. They talked at us for like 2 hours and actually scared the shit out of me as regards my course, although my fears have been eased this afternoon actually, through talking to people and being introduced to facilities etc. I feel much better now. Monday night I found my new local on their student night, The Plough, it's ok, big beer garden.
Tuesday had more talks about stuff, formally enroled, Dull. Went to a stand up comedy thing in the Student Union last night, it was pretty good and a pint of coke is only 50p, awesome power! (real coke too I might add!)
Today I had yet more talks, got my Compooter password for the library and found out they have wireless internet access at various points around the college, hurrah! Now if my laptop would just hurry up....
I made a new friend today. :D His name is Neil and he's on my course (possibly also gay?), I met him at enrolement. His is the first flat I have been in other than my own. He's funny and has good film taste, actually all my friends have good film taste, even the phantom, it's really cool!
Hey the library here is real good, they have a massive dvd collection and you can borrow them for 2 nights for free. Hurrah for free rentals!
I was feeling really homesick last night, I was talking to Luke on the phone and I could hear Jesse & Brett & people in the background and it just made me realise how much I'm missing you guys. To be fair I'm not missing Barnstaple lol, but it's you chaps I do think about, so you should rapidly texting, emailing etc I want to receive your love please :P
So tonight I'm meeting some current/past students for a chatting thing then going to the pub for a BBQ with the Photo Kids :D Tomorrow I have a trip to London all day, then Friday I have the whole day free.
It's a hard life being a student isn't it... :P
