A dear oekaki friend, Cari, passed away on October 14th. calliopeoracle was kind enough to let me know. I'm truly thankful she told me. I rarely check on fearsome anymore, so I probably wouldn't have known for months otherwise.
She was a beautiful person, a talented artist, and so much fun to talk to. I loved getting her messages at random and waxing nonsensical about cats and dolls and school and art. She was only 27. She was going to graduate soon. She was going to get married. I can't imagine what happened, it just seems unreal. I wish I'd had gotten to meet her in person, but I'm glad to have known her, however distantly.
