Dress pieces all cut out and pinned finally. Think I might have to pull a newb cosplayer move and glue everything before I sew it. Black fabric = stretchy, red satin = slippery, all probably frustrating to sew. THE SEAMS WILL BE NICE AND EVEN, I DEMAND IT. Good thing I had the foresight to grab Ok-To-Wash-It when I bought my fabric. What I DIDN'T get was interfacing, so I might have to improvise with Stiffy'd fabric. Neckline flaps, you irritate me with your structural necessity. Those things are getting tacked down just as soon as the neck is done.

UGH I NEED TO GET IT IN GEAR. LESS THAN 10 DAYS AND I'M NOT EVEN CLOSE TO HALF FINISHED. Curse you internet! And TV. And video games. I need to clean off the side table and scoot the couch back so I can break out the sewing machine and get the needles swapped and some bobbins filled. If I can make good progress this weekend, maybe I can have at least the dress jewelry and crown finished.

Edit: Yeah, uh. Sewing, machine or otherwise is a no go. And! I don't have any thread. Or any needles somehow, in spite of having at least two packages of them over the last year. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? Why now? NNNG. So I may have to glue the whole thing and pray.

Progress continues in spite of this pretty terrible setback.

Here are some heart eyeballs, for accessories.

Here is the bones of the crown. It's paper! With puff paint. None of this will show at all, it's going to to get primed and painted over and then varnished. GOLD OR BLACK? Maybe both?
