I stopped in at the Financial Aid office after class yesterday to try ONE LAST time to get some kind of information before officially making an appointment to see the dean.

My loan had never dispersed. Because I had only accepted half of the subsidized, when it popped up that I wanted to re-accept the other half (the exact same amount), the loan company automatically assumed it was a duplicate loan. Sallie Mae has been holding it the entire time. It took the lady less than 30 seconds to find this information out. She fixed it with a phone call, and my check should arrive sometime next week.

...

While I'm pretty sure I could throw a spectacular fit of rage and hysterics if given the opportunity, (complete with high-pitched screaming and artfully strung together swear words) at this point I think I might actually be beyond just being angry and (very) frustrated about this whole situation. And as cathartic as it might be, I doubt a swear-storm would do much more than get me blackballed by university staff or end up a Horrible Customer story they tell each other.

I decided the best course of action is to calmly write a thoroughly scathing complaint to the dean's office and see what happens. I have no idea if this will help, but it might make me feel better.

money woes, why you even got to do a thing, raaage
