the hideous way she dumped me
I was driving home from a business trip, and it was pouring rain. My live-in girlfriend, who I'd ben dating for more than three years, called me to tell me that she had moved out of our house while I was away. She had never even mentioned having any doubts about our relationship but told me over the phone that she hadn't been happy for months. It was the most miserable drive ever, and to top it off, I arrived home to a house with no furniture.

I'd gone out with this girl a few times, and I really liked her. But one night, when we didn't have plans to hang out, I saw her acoss the room at a bar in our college town. I know she saw me too. Excited, I made my way across the room to go talk to her...but as I got closer, I saw her bolting out the back door...literally running. I tried to catch her, but it was too late. She was gone. I called and texted her that night and a few days later, but she didn't respond. I have no idea what I did.

I went out twice with this awesome girl. She seemed sweet and cute, so I sent her flowers at work and a few 'xoxo' text messages, thinking she'd like the romantic gestures. But when we went out on our third date, she sat down and said, 'Listen, Dan. You think you're being cute, but I don't do mushy---I need an alpha male. I have no choice but to drop you now or else I know I'll eat you alive later.' She actually said that.
