Why not reel in a million dollars?
Dennis works as a service manager at A-Bear Air Conditioning Company. The boss known as Parish invited all the employees and thier spouses to eat and fish at Rockport, TX. The restaurant, hotel rooms, boat and guide are paid for.
So we went.
Restaurant was really nice. The tenderloind kabobs were delicious. As for the hotel it was okay. We were too tired to admire anything at the hotel. lol
5:45 am we got up and ate breakfast. Well I did and Dennis doesn't eat breakfast until few hours after having his coffee. 6:30 am we all went in groups on four different boats. Dennis and I went with Jamie and Danna.There was a bet of five bucks for every legal sized redfish we catch. Legally you can keep a redfish within 20- 28" long.
I caught the first redfish 20 1/2 inches long then another redfish just shortly after but was too short, and bunch of other fishes.Danna caught a dog fish a catfish then finally a 22 inch redfish. Jamie took awhile to get his 24" redfish. I was starting to feel sorry for him. Dennis caught alot of catfish and finally caught a 25 1/2 " redfish. Before Dennis caught his, I caught a sting ray. As I was reeling it in, it was so strong we all thought I got a 28" or longer redfish. Redfish put up a fight than any other fishes. This sting ray was so hard to reel in even our fishing guide had trouble. We were all shocked to see a sting ray.
Our guide got he hook off the sting ray and asked me if I wanted to hold it.I said, " No they sting you!"
Just after I said that we all heard a loud crack as the sting ray wacked the guide's hand with it's tail. The guide yelped as he dropped the stingray in the water. No body said anything after that. lol
Finally Dennis tells me to catch something. I was like," catch what specifically?"
He replied," I don't know. Anything."
I thought why not a million dollars?
