Mooooooooon!

Aren't lunar eclipses just magical? One advantage of West Coast living (besides the spring-like weather and blooming daffodils that are almost nice enough to justify the high cost of living) is that the eclipse was at its peak around 7:30 pm. I was in my office studying for my pending anatomy midterm, and my friend Ed turned up on G-chat and ordered me to go outside and look at the moon. :) I had every intention of going home and studying more, but then on my bike ride I saw some friends playing goaltimate (a variation of ultimate with fewer players and more running) so I stopped and joined in even though all I had with me were my work clothes. It was fabulous, playing outside and glancing up at the moon every few minutes as it turned darker and oranger and then as it started to emerge once again.

This week's reading week at UVic. Doesn't make much difference for work or thesis, but it is nice to have a break from weekly anatomy quizzes, and even from all my extra-curriculars that eat up time. Not only that, it's awfully nice to be able to find a spot for my bike in the covered bike parking again.

I've been plagued with flat tires lately. Four in a month. So frustrating, since it takes so much longer to walk to school -- a walk that I wouldn't mind except it means waking up that much earlier. :) I finally found the culprit -- a rough spot on the rim that was no longer covered up with the handy rubber tape -- and so hopefully my repair will last a little longer this time.

Now I just need to take advantage of the no-anatomy-quiz to study for the midterm and to finish another thesis chapter. No problem.
