About two years ago I watched my first ribbon topiary tutorial vid on YouTube. Ever since I've wanted to make one, but I always was a bit apprehensive about the amount of ribbon I was going to need for it.
Last weekend I pulled the Easter decorations from the shed to sort them out and I found the paper garlands I made last year. I wasn't going to put them up this year and it occurred to me I could cut them up into paper ribbons and use them for a topiary. Each 'ribbon' is about four inches long, twisted into a circle and pinned into a foam orb. I started at the bottom and worked my way up.
I'm rather happy with the result:
