... it is soooooooooooooooooooooo nice out today! Like 15°C and SUNNY! I am such a happy girl right now, you have no idea. No more winter! Yay! :) Now watch us have a blizzard tomorrow. lol.
So I have 5 days left of school. That makes me happy, although the next few days are gonna be busy! It seems like I have a never-ending list of stuff to do. Ugh. Oh well...
I just got sent an email about one of my meetings on Thursday. That thing is gonna be huge... basically it is a mandatory meeting for all students that are going on an exchange/work term in another country in the summer or fall. So, you think that since my school has about 30,000 students... that means this thing is gonna be big. Anyways, there was an intinerary in the email about what the meeting will cover. There was this link in it to a site about what women should wear in different countries so they don't get "unwanted" attention. Apparently in France, they like never wear jeans or running shoes. And if I do that when I'm there, there's gonna be a bunch of "drageurs" following me around and grabbing my ass because they like to hit on foreigners. Joy. lol.
Looks like I'm gonna need a crash course on how to not be polite and tell people to leave me alone... 'cause I have a hard time doing that. Last time I was in Portugal, I had these two guys that followed me EVERYWHERE when I was alone. They were harmless (at least, that's what I told myself)... but it was just a bit much. I'd walk to my grandmother's house from the house we were staying at... it's literally a 5 minute walk. But they'd be in a cafe and see me walk by, and they'd follow me the rest of the way there. I didn't want to be mean, though, and tell them to go away. It came to the point where my dad had to go out and threaten them. And my dad is scary-looking... nobody messes with him. haha. So yeah... my point is, I must learn to be mean and tell people off. lol. I'm usually not the kind of person that takes shit from people, but I have a hard time being mean... especially when the people involved are from a different country with different cultural norms, you know?
Okay, enough rambling. Must head off to work! Ciao loves.
