Yay for band!
WHEEEE! Band today! Lol god what a way to start the year.
Jessie spent the nigth and we didn't fall asleep until two. Then I got up at like 6:00am. Not exactly advisable. Oh well I lived.
Mom shoved more pancakes down my thorat. It seems to have become a hobby of hers with all the pancake stuff Matt gave us.
We got ready without any problems blah blah blah. Yeah ok os we got there. RJ and Matt and Lane were already there. Lol I gave Matt a hug and a kiss and then RJ started talking our ear off.... I think. I was a little out of it to remember these things to well. I do however remember that me and Matt managed to stay within school PDA rules for more or less the rest of the day after that though. Some might consider that a feat in itself, although I would have to say that's stretching it... Lane gave us thislook like "omg you guys are still together." and then just turns around. Other people started showing up. Mrs. Heckmann came in.
GUESS WHAT! hahahaha I got a locker with a lock this year 0.0! Oh my god. Lol nah it wasn't that exciting I actually liked not having a lock better *shrugs* I'll live.
We got two new people. Both percussionists. A few more quit. 47 band members had seats and 8 percussionists. Let's not even count all the empty seats. Man :( I went to introduce myself to one of the new percussionists. He was talking to Tiffany and then when they finished talking I went up and put my hand out and I was like "Hi, I'm Sarah" and he just walked away!*cries* lol I was like "*sniffel* Maybe I'm not Sarah..." lol and then I went back and sat on a table with matt and jessie.... lol and mrs. heckmann came out and told us that unless we wanted to be sitting on the floor at any given moment, it wasn't wise to sit on those particular tables.
Um that was about it. We talked a bit and did our normal band goals blah blah blah. Then we went outside to march fundamentals. *shrugs* That was ok. I can forward march the correct spacing and timing and stay on the right foot even after SOOOO long! Yay! Backwards half step marching wasn't as pretty... and backwards full step was slightly less then a disaster. Never claimed that I was good at that backwards stuff. I introduced myself to Reese for a second time and this time he actually listened. Haha AND Matt and Jessie followed. I didn't really expect that one. They're not much of outgoing types, particularly Matt... but then again he's changed a lot since we started dating. He's definitely coming out of his shell a bit. Ummm let's see. what else? OH YEAH! We weren't even half way through the first day, and he's already started his pig-headedness, "I'm the best at everything" crap. Lol Matt was saying that in a few weeks RJ's head wouldn't fit in hsi hat anymore once we started marching at games and such. I was like "wait! You're trying to tell me it fits him now?!"
We went to go over to the fence and grab our water bottles before moving on to the band hall. lol mine had dirt all over the bottom of it. So Matt takes it and wipes it acorss his jeans to clean it off! that was totally unneccessary but if it makes him feel better... anyway then i was drinking my water while we were walking back Matt made me laugh and i almost spit my water out and I was like "Jeez! It's not even the start of school yet and you're alreayd trying to get my drinks out my nose again!" Matt's like "sorry.*me taking another drink* Least it wasn't sprite or big red so it won't burn." lol which the way he said it made me laugh again. So I went to hit him with the end of my water bottle... and there was still dirt on the bottom so I ended up splattering mud all over his shoulder! :'( I felt so bad.
Went insdie and played. Lol me and PJ spent half the first song lost... almost everytime we played it. I don't like this half note on beat 3 and 4 thing, RIGHT at the allegro. >P oh well. Just need practice. I just realized today it's only me and PJ out there marching. and in concert season... it's only me and PJ. Sure Andrew takes up that seat but he doesn't play so much if ever. Yeah we went from a section of me, Robert, PJ and occasionally Devon if he felt like playing and a seat holder to me andPJ... it doesn't sound like such a huge difference when I say it like that but it definitely is.
Then pretty much the day was over.
