Five things I hate about the Harry Potter fandom:
1. OOC Harry. Why do 3 out of every 4 authors make him really nasty?
1b. I-don't-care-about-my-friends-Harry.
2. Female Blaise. What is with that? Every second fic changes Blaise's gender to female, and I'm faily sure he's a male. It jars me to much that even if I like the fic I can't read it.
3. Non-con. They're kids, I just can't get over the fact that they're so young.
4. PG fics. Which is kinda in contradiction to point 3, but still. All the really good fics are PG, and though I love them, I sometimes wish they'd just get it on.
5. Harry-hates-magic fics. The way I read Harry, he doesn't particularly like standing out for the reasons that he stands out, and he doesn't realise how brilliant he is, but he loves the magical world, he loves it even when it sucks, and he'd do anything to save it and live in it. I just don't understand fics where he retreats so far out that he won't have anything to do with magic.
Two things I hate about me:
1. That I strung a guy on for like 2 years and then ditched him like he was nothing and he still cares about me but I still can't bring myself to make ammends.
2. That I'm angry at a friend of mine but for some reason don't know how to tell her why. She thinks I'm a bitch for not taking her calls, but she did something really nasty to me that I laughed off at the time but totally made me see her in a different light.
Three things I have to do today:
1. Make my room look less like a hovel.
2. Write more Teascapes.
3. Make up an excuse for not having to go out.
Also, I feel out of the loop. willowschild recommended I ask people for suggestons. So... what have I missed? Any new fics I should be reading? Any news about things that have happened? Anything at all?
