So, I turned in my project proposal today, and I think I've mostly sorted out what I want to do for my project. The proposal included a lot of clauses like "may include, but not limited to" so that I didn't pin myself down too tightly about the format my various project components will take. I know I'll have an audio/visual montage of screenshots which include space travel from various tv shows/movies. I have a couple of interviews planned, and some written pieces, and some diagrams, including one which explains Einstein's theory of special relativity. I'm pretty excited. I just wish I wasn't so darn exhausted.

I did my first interview today with my astronomy prof from last semester. Stupidly, i used an old-timey mini tape recorder. I got it home, rewound it, and then realized that my tape snapped. I gave it to my trusty bf to fix, which he did, only to find that the audio was indecipherable. I'm a little depressed about that. It was such a great, fun interview, and it's lost. I've learned two lessons from this.
1. Don't use outdated technology
2. Asking for an interview re-do is super awkward.

So I sent him a message explaining the problem, and hopefully he'll be willing to just answer the questions via email if I send them to him. He's a pretty easygoing guy, so I hope he's not too annoyed, and will help me out even though I had to shitcan the first attempt.

On the plus side, I finished my paper and turned it in on the due date. This is a big step for me. I think my score for the day was pretty even, all things considered.
