Four of Swords
There are no words to describe how happy I am that school is almost out. I need a break. Preferably of the win-the-lottery variety. I won't go into any details, but I think that someone must have been playing a big cosmic joke on me these past two months. Wasn't very funny, though. Ever hear of Murphy's Law? I'm its new poster child. It'll be nice to have one less thing to worry about while I fix the mess that my life has become. Now let's just hope that I can magically pull the funds out of my rear that I need in order to pay for this semester's classes. Personally, I think I'll wait on the tuition balance and fix my car first. It's cheaper. I hope.
I'm going to see my mom soon, which is a bit of a mixed blessing. On one hand, I'm not up to the lectures that will ensue on just exactly how bad I've ruined my life so far, but on the other hand, I might be able to score some moneys out of it. Besides that, I haven't seen her in about three years. I figure it's about that time to do my daughterly duty and suck it up. I'll get to see my dog, too, which'll be nice. She's old enough that she'll probably be dead before I see her again. I'll have to remember my camera. It promises to be mildly relaxing with good weather, though, so I've got some tentative hopes that things will go well. My new tarot deck thinks so, anyway. I hope I get a chance to catch up on some leisure reading. I've got a few things on my list that are growing dust.
On the job, front, i've scored one part-time, and hopefully a second part-time by the end of next week. I have some good prospects coming up, so as long as I nail the interviews, which I usually do, there shouldn't be much of a problem. It'll be nice to get away from the ramen and kraft dinners for a change. And maybe buy some sneakers without holes in the bottom.
In dubiously happier news, I might be an aunt soon. This makes me smile a little. see? :) Still waiting for results, but we'll see.
