The Human Torch was denied a bank loan.
Just started summer school, and I already love this new class! So far we have read cases about cannibals, peeping toms, and had a rather lengthy debate about Superman! Now, all there needs to be is discussion of pirates or midgets, or some combination of the two ("Arr, little matey!"), and I will be in heaven! I'm so easily amused, it's not even funny...
For those of you that don't already know, we OFFICIALLY got the appartment/townhouse locked in for this summer. Looks like moving time is sometime in July. This is a big step for me - a giant leap into adulthood, if you will, moving out of the parents' house for good. I know I didn't live at home when I went to UCSB, but that was different. I was going to school and living off The Bank of Mom & Dad. Plus I went home every other weekend. This new appartment is just awesome - I love it! I heard (from a friend of a friend) that there is some questionable activity going on in this particular appartment complex - something about a prostitution conspiracy, and something about a lady wearing tight leather & pulling a man in his underpants by a leash through the parking lot! But really, everytime we've visited the place, it seems fine, classy and quiet. Plus I have to look at the source - the particular person who said these things is what the Spainiards would call "El Pathologico Liaro." Seriously, she's been caught in a few exaggerated tales. And seeing a man being pulled around by a leash would at least be entertaining... Right? ;)
I also uploaded a buttload of pictures to LJ, for no other reason that I needed something with which to procrastinate. It was either that, homework, or cleaning. If you're, like, really super bored or just plain nosey, you can see the pictures HERE!
On a final note, I got the new Fallout Boy CD. And it kicks @$$. I *love* how they come up with the most random song titles ever! My favorites are currently: "A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More 'Touch Me,'" "I've Got A Dark Alley And A Bad Idea That Says You Should Shut Your Mouth," and "Our Lawyers Made Us Change The Title Of This Song So We Wouldn't Be Sued." Heh heh.
[edit: Has anyone else seen those pictures of Saddam Hussien in his underwear?! They keep showing them on news commercials ever 10 minutes. *shudder* I am so scarred for life now.]
