"Gaffawing away on the steamship of hillarity."

Borrowed the Incredibles DVD today from a friend of a friend who managed to get an advanced copy... Been watching all the extras for the past THREE hours and it is hands-down the best DVD set I've ever seen! OMG, I am freaking out and laughing hysterically at all the bonus stuff, and I'm depressed at the same time that I can't share this with anyone!!! Brad Bird is a GOD!

Jack Jack Attack:
It WAS written by Brad Bird. This short is SOOO cute and so brilliantly done... They did an awesome job making it fit PERFECTLY within the film's timeline, including Kari's calls to Helen's cell phone. Man, I feel sorry for that family having to deal with JJ after this... He's by far the most powerful Parr!

The Cut Scenes:
Again, very awesome, and very informative.... A couple of them are very geared toward adults, so I can see why they were cut--but I really wish they'd have fully animated and gone thru with the "Helen contfronts Bob" cut scene for reasons you all will understand you watch it for yourselves. Bob's reaction to Helen's questions about the white hair are priceless...

Mr Incredible And Pals:
OMG, this this was one of those things where it's so BAD it's funny!! The animation, oh my... Especially with the commentary: Bob & Lucius bicker like an old married couple and it's hillarious. "Don't worry, he'll come back, he's just emotional."

Incrediblunders:
There are a few more than the clip that was online a while back... Check out Bob while he's pinching Helen and vice versa. *giggles*

The Easter Eggs:
Found a bunch of 'em, and the good news is that once you find one, the others are pretty easy to find too. The re-enactment with sockpuppets is hysterical! And the short scenes with Bob fighting with Dash & Frozone over the remote were also cool. We also get to see what Bob does when he's home alone....

The Secret NSA (National Supers Association) Files:
This is definitely one of my favorite things on the DVD because (1) it's hillarious and (2) it gives more info on the characters. Here are a few noteworthy things:

Mr Incredible:
• He is apparently VERY possessive of the Incredobile.
• He won a pie eating contest against Thunderhead at an NSA picnic (shocker!), eating "48 boisenberry pies, 8 banana cremes, 3 apple crumbs, and a liter of mayonnaise." ROTFL!
• Thereafter he was nicknamed 'Mr Inedible".
• Mr I's soundbite is also cute... he pretty much mocks fellow NSA super Phylange, but in a nice way: "Don't get me wrong, I love you, man, but..."

Elastigirl:
• She was pursued by all the top male superheroes, and known as the "heartbreaker."
• She was apparently asked to head a team of heroes and refused.
• Her soundbite is also pretty funny, recounting how much money she's wasted on outfits that get ruined far too easily with her stretching.... (the interview was obviously before Edna.)

Frozone:
• Had on again / off again relationship with Blazestone.
• Apparently he tried out for the witner olympics.
• Doesn't wanna give out his secret identity because "Babes" will be lined outside his door.
• His first sign of superpowers involved kool-aide.
• Describes himself as the "human zamboni."

Gazerbeam:
• Has poor nightvision & needs glasses to drive at night. Heh.
• Has apparently no sense of humor, which is pretty clear in his soundclip! Even though he professes to be, "Gaffawing away on the steamship of hillarity."

Gamma Jack:
• Laments about how he hates killing hot villainesses because he'd rather date them... but can't because they are villainesses.
• Called "Handsome Jack" by the ladies and was clearly the player among the supers.

Thunderhead:
• Has 5 adopted children that he raises with his roommate, Scott.
(Dash, remember that convo. we were having about Mr I and THunderhead being at odds because THunderhead pursued Helen? I'm guessing that's not quite what happened....)
• Says he died because of a cape malfunction.

Hypershock:
• Apparently loves to drink and has an anger management problem (he had a hangover in his interview and spent most of the time shouting for aspirin... For some reason, I found this hysterically funny....)

Macroburst:
• No one knows whether Macroburst is a he or a she.

There's just so much more than I can't even BEGIN to go into... There appears to be some sort of odd soap-opera like relationships going on among the NSA superheroes (read: "The Glory Days of Our Lives"). It's hillarious.

[edit: a mallard duck just randomly flew into our pool....! Homer is going crazy and wants to go play with it.]

incredibles, geekfest
