The new Bridge to Terabithia movie trailer is making me angry.
They are portraying it as a Narnia wannabe.
The book isn't about magical monsters and what not.
What is about is a boy named Jess who likes to run, (( I'm stating this because I remember reading it by the way)) but he runs weird, i think his legs go to the side when he runs? And he wants to be the fastest runner in hopes of his father being proud of him. (( hes the only boy with five sisters)) And on racing day a new girl named Leslie challeges him and beats him, along with everyone else.
They become friends, and create this "magical" land across a creek and call it Terabithia. But its not supposed to be actual magic. Its just like a secret place that no one knows about. It pertains no magical creatures. Terabithia is used just to furthere their friendship, and help them talk about their problems in private.
once again, NO MAGICAL CREATURES.
I won't summarize further into the plot, just incase you haven't read it, I don't want to give it away.
I probably will go see the movie though, just to see.
Because you can't always go through movie previews.
When I went to go see The Bell Witch, all that was in the previews, was the whole movie.
nothing "scary" was in it other than the commercial trailers.
I'm going to go look for the book now.
I might read it again.
Make sure that I'm not making a fool of myself, when there is magical creatures or something in the book.
I mean, I read it last in fourth grade.
That was seven years ago.
A person can forget.
p.s.
The Scarlet Letter,
it pretty much sucks.
But I've read over what I've already read, and it makes more since.
So at least I'm not completely lost.
