So I wrote a book
This is my first post in ages, although I've been reading and commenting a bit. I was also gifted with a Kindle a while back and found myself reading actual books rather than fanfic, leaving me less to chatter about in my journal. I discovered some M/M romance authors whose work I really enjoyed, and, as is my habit, I started writing in the genre I was reading. The result pulled itself together into a book, and one day I emailed it off to a publisher. I expected it to come back with some comments about why it wasn't acceptable, and then I'd either rework it or move on to the next thing.
They published it.
The Boys and the Bees is available on Amazon or direct from the publisher, in paperback and ebook formats. It's a simple story (the reviews at Goodreads agree about that) about two guys from Iowa who meet by chance years after they were in high school together.
I'm still a bit in shock over the whole thing, to tell you the truth.
