Changmin envied his band mates. He envied Jaejoong who declared as Yoochun’s soulmate. He envied Junsu for being paired with Yoochun and they became quite popular couple. He envied Yunho who looked always be the best brother for Yoochun among all the members. Because he was nothing for Yoochun but only band mate.

Yoochun would ask Jaejoong if he needed a help in composing his song. Yoochun always came to Junsu first whenever they had break during photo shoot and both of them would play around and having fun. Yoochun certainly came to Yunho when he had problem to be solved or just needed the leader’s soothing words. Changmin seemed he wasn’t needed in Yoochun’s life.

It wasn’t that Yoochun hate him or disliked to be near him, or maybe he really was? But it wasn’t he had problem with Yoochun. Yoochun really is a friendly guy. Yoochun was always being nice to him; accompanied him in his late night snack when Jaejoong too lazy to wake up; planned to make fun of Junsu when he bored; asked him if he was fine when he was sulking or had bad day; texted him if he had eaten when they had different schedule. It was just, like had no space in Yoochun’s life. No place in Yoochun’s heart.

Changmin was in balcony, looking at the city light and thinking how deep his feeling to Yoochun. Changmin thought the times he realized he had a different feeling to the man with low baritone voice. He sometimes questioned himself, why Yoochun?
Why not Jaejoong? Jaejoong cooked very well, Changmin loved eating and always dreamed about getting someone who cooked well. What about Junsu? He adored Junsu’s innocence; Junsu was cute and always made him happy. People definitely wouldn’t refuse him. Or maybe Yunho? Yunho had interesting personality. He looked like the most mature member between them, on camera. But he could be cute clingy one.
But no, not them all. Then, why? Why Yoochun?

His mind flew to Yoochun’s bright smile, his melodious laughter, his serious face when he practiced dance, his expression when he recorded his part of song, the way he bit his pencil whenever he was confused with the lyric, his almost crying face which made Changmin wanted to take the fragile being into his arms and hugged him tight, and his sexy gesture when Changmin saw him smoking from afar.
Changmin smiled at the thought and at the odd feeling he felt in his stomach whenever his mind wandered to the older man.
“You can be my lover, you know. It’s still available.” Came a husky that made him startled.
Changmin turned just to look away quickly hoping he didn’t blush like a teenage girl. Heart pounding like crazy and he was afraid it would burst out of his rib cage. His stomach knotted more than he had ever felt before, and it was really not comfortable.
“What did you mean?” Changmin turned slowly and grasped the railing edge of the balcony, wished his voice didn’t come out shaky because of his nervousness.
“I found this.” Changmin looked at Yoochun from his shoulder. Yoochun was holding a maroon book Changmin knew as his, his diary. His eyes widened in shock.
“I’m sorry, I was being rude. I admit, I’ve read it. I can’t help it, Minnie,” he looked at Changmin’s eyes, regret showed in his brown eyes then he hung his head down, “I’m sorry,” he said almost whispered.
Yoochun didn’t notice the hurt that reflected in Changmin’s eyes. Changmin didn’t say any word, he was confused of what to do, what to say. So he was just being silent.
“I… I’m not kidding, Minnie. If- if you want to be my lo-lover,” Yoochun shut his eyes tight.
“Hyung,” Changmin called him, practically whined. “Really, do you mean it?” There’s glint of hope in Changmin’s eyes “look at me, hyung.”
Yoochun’s watery eyes met Changmin’s full-of-hope ones, there Changmin knew the smaller man in front of him didn’t tell lies. “I mean it, Changmin. Yes, Jaejoong is my soul mate, but he’s no other than best friend, I respect Yunho hyung so much, but only as brother, and I may be close with Junsu, but honestly I want to be closer to you.”
Changmin didn’t say anything, so Yoochun decided to continue, “it’s true I always come to Jaejoong if I needed help in composing my song, I played with Junsu, and I asked Yunho for my problems. But, with you, I just want to be beside you, being myself. I don’t need anything as long as I’m with you.”

Then Changmin realized, he remembered all small attentions Yoochun gave him. He might seem has no space in Yoochun’s life, but never even once, those small attentions Yoochun gave to other members. Yoochun always gave a special spot for Changmin, because Changmin was special to Yoochun.
Changmin smiled, his mismatched eyes showed and Yoochun smiled back. Changmin took a step and stood closer to Yoochun, he looked at Yoochun who was shorter than him. Yoochun could feel the taller man’s breath above his nose, and Changmin placed a kiss in Yoochun’s bangs covered forehead. Yoochun was shocked because he knew the maknae didn’t like any skinship. “Thank you,” he muttered and hugged his lover’s skinny body. Now, Changmin wouldn’t be worried to his space in Yoochun’s life. He had found his perfect place.
