Murphy's Law
Don't know who bl**dy Murphy was, but I wish he'd bu**er off!! Excuse the French, but honestly !! A bit of a "spanner in the works" so to speak, DH has been advised to have another back surgery to try to alleviate the numbness and weakness he's been getting in his leg and foot. He goes into hospital on Friday, so we've been trying to get the affairs in order (mostly his work) so that if he's laid up for 3 or 4 weeks (most likely) or 6 - 8 weeks (worst case scenario) life will continue as normal as possible. I've arranged a baby sitter for me, I'm a Nervous Nellie when it comes to sleeping alone in the house, I just don't get any sleep. I still haven't finished the waterbed valance, and haven't started the dancing studio work yet. It's a bit difficult to concentrate around here just at the moment, but at least I think everything is nearly ready as far as he's concerned. I still have to get to the doctor to get my results from a CT scan on my silly neck, not expecting anything major just a confirmation of arthritis, but will be interested to see his suggestions for treatment and management. I think I've also got an inner ear infection as well, a few dizzy spells at the moment causing some consternation all around. I'm expecting a few crazy days, visiting DH in hospital, doing a Guest Speaker role at a Quilt Study Group meeting, and volunteering at Linnwood on Sunday's Open House. Geez, I'll need to book a bed next to DH for a little rest, I think, LOL !!
