I am from mom’s stir-fry, and Kyle’s Chocolate cakes.
I am from spectacular dinners made from scratch.
I am from Pizza on Thanksgiving.
From Italian one night, to Middle Eastern the next.
Ketchup on my steak, and BBQ on my fries.
I am from Hip Hop, Rap, Rock, Jazz, and any other music you think of.
I am from blasting Tupac in the car, and horrified stares from neighbors.
I am from The Gits, L.L Cool J, System Of a Down, and Tech N9.
I am from singers and dancers; I never said they were good.
I am from open hearts.
I am from supporters.
I am from crazy characters.
From stray animals, to stray teens needing help.
I am from a protective family, annoying, but it gives me the feeling of being safe
I am from a family that has never fit in, and yet we’re so loved.
I am from a small family still being built.
I am from many memories, good and bad.
I am from hard times that made me what I am today.
I am from fathers never sticking around, but a mother who will never leave.
I am from always staying together, no matter what.
