Urgh! I'm supposed to be going to Scotland for New Year's, but it's seeming like less and less of a good idea. The passport people said I'd most likely have my passport in time, but they couldn't make any guarantees. I still haven't booked my plane ticket because I'm not totally sure what airport to fly into or what days to book it for. I know that I'll have enough money for my ticket, but I don't think that I'll have more than fifty dollars or so to travel with. Granted, I'm staying with a friend, so I don't have to worry about hotel costs, but I'd like to be able to eat/drink while I'm there.

If I wait until spring break, I could go to England (again, staying with a friend) for about half the cost. I know my passport will have arrived by then, which would be a definite bonus. The thing is, if I go now, I'll see a slew more people than if I wait until spring break. For New Year's, I would see most of the internationals from this past summer, plus Mangogh. Over spring break, I'd probably see Retro, Dizzy, and Bubbles for sure. I don't know who else though. Of course, those are the three Brits I'm closest to. I'd also probably be able to stay a few days longer and do more touristy things over spring break. I know it looks like I've already made my decision, but I haven't. I've been telling people since camp ended that I'm going to do this New Year's thing and I would hate letting them down. That's a big factor in the choice.

This whole conundrum is tying my intestines in knots. I've never left the country before and I'm rather timid when it comes to traveling, which is probably a big reason for the stress I'm feeling.
