I suppose with the end of feb approaching and the leap day approaching I should squeez in a lil ol entry.
My trip to switzerland came and went at the end of jan, It seems like I've been back ages already but its just under a month now. I had so much to say about switzerland upon returning but laziness has gotten the better of me and im going to sum it in a few sentences or so.
The trip was one of the best so far in my european adventures. Perfect boarding conditions combined with amahzing food and good friends. It was sunny for the most part and it dumped hard mid week leaving us with 3 glorious days of sunshine and powder. The day it snowed we spent hours fluffing around and building snow men and making snow angels. I hurt myself on the first day after being clipped by a fellow boarder but I rode it out for the rest of the week. I apparently chipped a rib and it hurt my chest everytime I laughed or sneezed. Aside from that the only other injury in our group was a bunged knee. We spent the day time on the mountain the evening time drinking and laughing and the night time resting and nursing our sore bodies. The most momentous things to note are:
• Watching B and B face plant and fall on the big jumps, I have a clip of one of them face planting off a jump I could watch over and over again
• My first ever sucessful rail riding attempt (yay me)
• Our winnings or takings or whatever you call it, after a night out on the town
• Finding a Vietnamese "tet" festival in the stix of Geneva, where they sold Bang me Titties! (for those who aren't in the know, Banh mi tit or aka the humble pork roll)
• Watching the other B get picked up by a gay bar man which 1. provided us with free grog and 2. gave us a reason to laugh non stop for hours.
It was just really nice to do something I love and share it with my friends. Nothing beats the feeling of flying down a mountain and turning to see B right next with the exact same expression of glee on his face. Ahhh I've got warm and fuzzies just thinking about it.
Feb started off not so great with me thinking it was the worst Chinese new year ever. I'm rather superstitious and I believe how the years starts is how its going to be for the rest. Those dramas rectified themselves and I found myself beleiving that this year is going to be quite spectacular. My new year like most other new years was filled with friends and laughter and plenty of food.
I'm working again in a job I like quite like, my journey to work while a very short one takes me over waterloo bridge where every evening I get to see londons most famous iconic buildings surrounded by everchanging hues and displays of light. The best part of my day is the short bus ride over the bridge.
Valentines was yet again a warm and fuzzy humble night for B and I, dinner and scrabble by candle light *bliss*. It's interesting to see what my work mates think of the day. While some refuse to give into the commercial gimmickness of it all, others believe that valentines day is only for those who aren't in relationships and intend to tell someone that they "fancy" them. Romance Schomance, its Valentines day everyday of the year for me.
The sunshine has come out to play in london once again and It's made me come out of my winter hermit hole. I've spent a few weekends scouring markets for vintage knick knacks only to find that most things will work and seem functioning at the markets will automatically drop dead and stop working upon arriving home :(
Later on in Feb I was fortunate enough to take part in the Great Trafalgar Freeze. Where at 3:30 on sunny Saturday evening 1000's of us who were in the know froze for 5 minutes much to the surprise and confusion of those in the vicinity. I cant keep my mouth shut for 5 minutes let alone stand still for 5 but I was surprised that I lasted. My eyeballs however hidden by dark sunnies were moving left right and center.
See if you can spot me im wearing a red coat holding my beloved Lomo

I've had what I consider a very normal and satisfying february, I feel like B and I are getting things back on track, that being said in true living in london style, we've had news to shake it all up again. Details to follow.
