Are there any leading ladies in recent anime that aren't under 20? Only looking under 20 won't count

I'd like to go for a walk and pick up groceries for supper, but it's way too hot. So I'm just gonna sit here, watching Nichijou, feeling sorry for myself. Mmm, pointless, beautifully-animated comedic fluff.

I want to like The Mystic Archive of Dantalian more (I adore Huey's design and demand a Nendoroid, stat) but gosh Dalian's stereotypical-tsundere behaviour is tiring. I can feel the potential for an interesting character amidst all the pandering, which is what makes it even more tiring. It seems anime dictates that being rude is acceptable, nay, appealing, if one at least looks like a little girl.

I've been thinking about what to do regarding my cartooning class. It won't be for a while, but we're going to have to make an actual comic at some point. I'm torn between using Pekoe & friends or Doctor Greene & friends. In an environment geared more to western comics, I don't know if the former's laid-back, light-hearted nature would go over as well as the latter's darkly humoured chaos and destruction. Problem is that I still don't think my ability is up to snuff for that one. Machines! Any tips for drawing machines? I have unsteady hands and no patience for meticulous lines and angles...

I'll have to write a story to draw, too! But what?

Regardless, I should really write something today, period. Pass the time in this sweltering heat. I'm at a total loss for inspiration, though. What do. What do.

My little 3DS continues to be a delightful e-reader. I'm now reading old stories about a mischievious Victorian-era gentleman thief with an aptitude for both disguises and cricket! Cracking! And his sidekick is inexplicably named Bunny, which is kind of adorable. Though it also reminds me how much I'd like to catch up on Tiger & Bunny, but alas, I cannot download anything onto this temporary-computer! Where was I going with this paragraph? I don't know, I have a headache.

anime, raffles, books, doctor greene, cartoons, chef pekoe
