we all fall down
*yawn* yeah so today was pretty good. after laughing my ass off during i love the 90's, dave picked me up. we went to home depot. this guy backed his truck into mrs. f's car b/c he "was on the phone and the a/c was all the way up". is a/c really that loud that u don't hear someone honking for almost 20 seconds straight. yeah it's really freaky to have the tailgate of a ford coming right at ur face too. wow.
then to market basket where we got blueberries and tons of other fruit and ben and jerry's. we finally got to his house and around 3:30 started using landon's awesome pound cake recipe to make mom's b'day cake. it was in the oven by 4 and then dave and i went swimming. that was fun. until he wouldn't get back in the pool. oh well. he made up for it.
we came back in before 6 and waited for dinner to get ready. dinner was yummy. it's always yummy there. :) mom came to pick me up and found out about the cake. she was VERY happy. i felt so proud. :) then mom drove me to the church. dave was supposed to come but found out he had family stuff to do tonight. :( so no dave. :( :(
once at church i hung around in the kitchen w/ everyone. jonathan's doing his best to have me included in the group and it sorta works. people sorta smile and say hi, but i'm still like... yeah i don't know y'all. :-/ it'll get better eventually...? the mission trip was supposed to help me w/ that but it's VERY doubtful that i can get the time off work, so there's that opportunity. anyway. we watched "thirteen". the cutting and peircing scenes were just as freakish... i didn't watch... i was a wimp. oh well. good cookies! and a few interesting comments afterwards. then every single youth member (i am not exaggerating... it was everyone) but me pilled into cars and drove off the friendly's. i was left w/ jonathan and another adult and was like.... yeah... i feel awkward. :-/ w/e. i'm just tired of making the effort to walk up to people and talk. that's what i like about the south: people come up to you and introduce themselves and make an effort to include new people. something will work out maybe... *sigh*
anyway... mom loved the cake. she, dad, and i have all had a piece. it did turn out very well. thank u landon, u're awesome. :) i guess i'm out. i'm gonna sit on the comp for a while till someone decides to IM me or until i decide to get off and read. whichever comes first.
