It's 2:06am and I'm not tired. I'm importing all my albums onto my iTunes, because my iPod will be here aby day now. I'm on album 32 of 89. My God, this is going to take forever. Anyway it's been a while since I updated, so here's one before I leave. Saturday morning, I'm leaving for my cruise! I'm really excited. It's going to be a lot of fun, I promise lots of pictures and an entry. What else? About a week ago, I went to go see "Just Like Heaven" with Kiry. We got in for free, because Adam (Mr. Kenney) is now a manager at the Farmingdale Multiplex. We both liked the movie a lot. I've been going to the gym on a regular basis. I don't know if I notice any physical differences, but I feel healthier, if that makes sense. I've been watching what I eat too, so go me. Umm ... school has proven to be definately more challenging than Stony Brook ever was, but I'm doing well. The grades I've gotten so far have been good, so let's hope I keep this trend up and bring up that GPA. What else? Work is regular, sometimes I get overwhelmed becuase I have to close three nights a week and get my homework done, but it all gets finished and I always have Ryan there to assure me of that, hehe. I love him so much. My birthday proved to be one of the best birthdays I've ever had. It started the week before my birthday, on September 8 (a Thursday). Ryan and I had plans to watch some sports and then rent a movie, but he "had plans with his dad" so we were meeting up at 9pm. Well, I got all ready and we went to Hollywood to rent a movie to watch after the game. We get there, and Sheryl is the only one up front, so I asked her where everyone was, and she said Dan was in the back and Kim was in the bathroom, so Ryan suggested we go to say hi to Dan. On the way to the back room, he said he wanted to scare Dan, and that I should pretend I was by myself, so I did. I knocked, and told Dan I was coming in, and when I unlocked and opened the door, I was greeted by a chorus of "SURPRISE!" Everyone was there, Hollywood and Game Crazt employees, and there was a whole party set up for me! Ice cream cake, cookies, balloons, cards, party plates, cups, and napkins, popcorn, and "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" on the TV! They all signed a card for me, and Kelly gave me $10 to Applebees (which I used like the next day, haha). I was so happy and surprised I almost cried. Turns out, Ryan wasn't helping his dad, he was setting it all up, and he did it because MONTHS ago I mentioned how me and my friends had thrown Janine a few surprise parties and I never had one. He planned it all, and everyone helped out, and it was perfect. I love the people I work with. I love Ryan. He's perfect <3. That was part 1 of my birthday. Part 2 was September 9, when Ryan took me into the city. We took the train in, and walked from Penn to Planet Hollywood. I got to choose the place we ate at. The main point of the evening was to go to Caroline's to see Brian Regan, a comedian I like a lot. Anyway, there was a lot of time to kill between dinner and Caroline's, so we walked around Toys 'R Us for a while. Then we went to Caroline's, and the 2 opening comedians were both really funny, and Brian Regan was hysterical! I fully enjoyed the show, and so did Ryan which made me happy. The train ride home was funny, with a drunk girl stealing our Mike 'N' Ikes. The entire night was amazing, as is any night spent with Ryan. It was romantic, and funny, and I got yelled at for wearing shoes that hurt my feet, but it was okay. It was a perfect way to spend my birthday. Part 3 was my actual birthday, on which I went to the gym, school, and work, but Ryan's mom stopped by work to give me a present, which was sweet, and Ryan gave me a hand made birthday card that obviously took a lot of time and thought, and that meant so much to me. The detail on the card is amazing, and the words he wrote to me bring a smile to my face every time I see the card or even think about it. I love him so much. Working on my birthday sucked, but at least Ryan worked too. Part 4 was the Sunday after my birthday, when I went out to eat at the Olive Garden with my family. And Part 5 was September 23, when I went into the city with my girlfriends to Avalon. It was a lot of fun. We went Froday, September 23, and it was me, Janine, Allyson, Kiry, Cathie, and Tara. Kim was supposed to come but she got food poisioning, fucking Quiznos. She's going to come next time. Anyway, the train ride there was fun, we drove to Massapequa Park first and saved like $7 on our train tickets. On the way there it started to rain, and we all got upset because we all had straight hair but by the time we got there the rain had stopped. We ended up going to this Hookah (I don't know if that's spelled right) Bar before hand, because we didn't want to get to Avalon right when it opened. We didn't order drinks, because we're all 18 and 19, but we got 2 waters, and Janine ordered 2 Hookahs, peach and watermelon, and she was raving about them cause she had been there the night before, so I tried it, and it was nothing special. We left there around 10:30 and headed over to Avalon, and we were in by 11. It was EMPTY except for like 5 people. One was this old man, he must have been at least 75, no joke. He was wearing tap shoes and just kept tapping around from room to room, throwing in an occasional leap or skip or kick or spin, and it was so random and weird and fun to watch. Then there was this big fat guy who followed us from room to room, and that was creepy. Anyway, we went into the hip hop room, and we were definately the first ones dancing. By 11:30, the room was packed. This random guy came up behind Tara and started dancing with her, and she looked so freaked out, it was kinda funny and we all laughed. They danced together for like a song or two, and she kept looking uo at us with this weird look on her face, like she was uncimfortable with him behind her. It was all innocent dancing until I saw his hands start to wander down to her thigh, and then he reached up and grabber her in an innapropriate place, so I leaned over and grabbed her arm and said "We're going to go into the next room for a while" and got her away from him. I think she was a little mad that no one did anything sooner, but overall she was releived. We went into the techno room and this is where we ended up staying the rest of the night. It was less crowded and fun. Tara spotted these guys in Navy uniforms, and she went crazy because she loves that. Eventually, two of them came over to near where we were and just looked at the 6 of us, and finally this random guy pulled me over and asked if they could dance with me and my friends because they were shy to ask us themselves. So I said sure, and they introduced themselves as Dimitri and Phil, and Tara and Dimitri hit it off, and Phil just talked to the rest of us. They were nice guys, Tara ended up swapping numbers with Dimitri, woohoo. After a while we all just kind of danced in a big circle, talking to each other. Tara was in heaven the rest of the night, haha. She got her navy guy (who called her 2 days later!). We decided to leave around 1:30am, we were all tired, and at 3:00am there was a 21 and over party so we'd have to leave anyway. We wanted to make either the 1:46am train or the 2:40 because after that there wasn't a train until 5:08am. Well, we walked from Avalon to Penn and we got there at 2, and missed the 1:46. So we got something to eat, and got on the 2:40. Poor Cathie, her feet were killing her, they were worse than mine the night I went with Ryan! Hers were actually bleeding! I felt so bad, but she trucked on. That's my kit kat, haha. We all pretty much slept the whole way home, then drove back to Lindenhurst and went our separate ways. It was such a fun night, I can't remember the last time I had a girl's night. We all had a great time, and decided a girls night should be something we do more often, even if it's only once every few months, because it was so much fun and we all like each other and get along. Plus, Kim needs to come next time, so that's reason enough to do it again. Let's see what else ... last week my Ryan was sick, and I did my best to take care of him, maybe too well of a job because now I'm sick and he's feeling better! It's nothing serious, but Sunday and Monday I was pretty bad. Sunday I worked 9-5, and I had no voice. When I tried to talk, I sounded like a 12 year old going through puberty! But that didn't stop me from finally going to see "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" with Kim Sunday night. We had been planning on going for weeks, and finally got around to it. We heard from some it was really bad, and from some that it was really scary. Well, Adam was working, so we got in for free which is awesome. We talked to him for a while, then got soda and popcorn, and then went in. It was one of the scariest movies I'd ever seen, if not the scariest, and Kim agreed! We were so scared, and if you've seen it, you'll know why I was so freaked when I was awake at 3am last night ... but nothing happened so it's all good. I guess that's pretty much been my life up until now ... Ryan and I have been hanging out as much as we can with our conflicting schedules, and everything between us is still as amazing as always. I'm going to miss him lots while I'm away ... anyway it's actually the morning now, since I started updating my journal at 2am and stopped at 3:15 to go to sleep. It's 10:04am Wednesday now, and I'm off to the gym, them home for some homework, and then I have school until 5:55, and then work 8-close, and then finishing up some more homework, so basically once I get out of this chair, I'm going to be busy all day. But I guess I'm used to that. So, I won't be updating again before my cruise, so I'll talk to you all when I get back! (you all being the 3 or 4 people who actually read my livejournal, haha). See you soon guys! <3
