1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Ate falafel
Ran 13.1 miles at once without dying
Bought a gaming system for my home (mom forbade anything but dad's fake Atari)
Had a really nice romantic anniversary
Stayed in a five star hotel

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Mostly.  7 out of 11 is pretty good.  I'm still thinking about next year's.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Todd's perpetually pregnant cousin had a boy.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My great grandfather Ralph Feather died in October. He was 96.

5. What countries did you visit?
none : (

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A home closer to semi-cool things downtown.

7. What date(s) from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
7/21 Harry Potter Book Day
7/29 Race Day

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
SF Half Marathon

9. What was your biggest failure?
Every time I avoided doing something social

10. Did you suffer any illness or injury?
Mysterious abdominal pain was decidedly a burst ovarian cyst
My right knee now clicks and burns when I run or use stairs (Runner's knee?)

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My polka dot skirt with pockets.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
JS ran across SF with me. Woo!
Todd got a patent & a plaque. Woo!
Todd's mom made me pumpkin bread then helped me save a puppy from certain doom. Woo!

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Our neighbor who tried to get rid of her puppy by abandoning it near the parking lot and then, when caught, made up some lame excuses.

14. Where did your money go?
School? Thanks Todd!

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
SF & NYC trips
Harry Potter book
Doing play therapy

16. What song will always remind you of 2007?
The Feist song on the itunes commerical that gets stuck in your head. . . 1,2,3,4 . . .

i. happier or sadder? happier
ii. thinner or fatter? thinner
iii. richer or poorer? same unemployed financial drain on Todd

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Take pictures & attended parties for birthdays, going-aways, etc.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
TV & internet vegetating

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
With Austin family & friends

22. Did you fall in love in 2007?
Married. So, um, maintained love?

shhhh the spousal unit reads this

Ace of Cakes & Pushing Daisies

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Maybe that neighbor with the puppy.

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke

Joanna Newsom, The New Pornographers, & The Shins

a Wii, the right practicum, trips to see friends

The release of Animal Crossing for Wii

Juno looks like it'll be good

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Turned 25, got a Wii, made Mii's, ate sweet potato fries and sweet potato gnocchi at Green, had delicious tea and dessert at Mad Hatter's.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Living in the same city as friends and school.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Jeans, sweaters, and impulse purchases from Target

34. What kept you sane?
Woodchuck & podcasts (for long drives to class & long runs).

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Tim Gunn is pretty fancy

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Environmental junk

37. Who did you miss?
All you peeps. And my sister Melissa when she's at UNT.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
I guess there is this cool chick in the Humane Society Clinic who shows me crazy stuff like herniated intestines and lets me name dogs.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007:
Rushing to do anything makes me super tense so I need to slow way down and plan in lots of extra time. Few things really need to be rushed.
