After weeks of being down, maybe even more than that, things are going back up. This weekend was virtually perfect, even though it really shouldn't have been. Things just went... unexpectedly.
I guess it started on Wednesday, when Vince called to ask me to be one of Mona's girls in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" Thursday was normal. Friday I went to see "Good Night and Good Luck" with my dad. It was ok, pretty boring, but you kind of had to expect that. It was very uneventful, but it was a good story. When he got home later, we pulled out the Christmas decor and put up some lights and stuff. We went to the Quirks for a bit, then to Target, and then back to the Quirks. I really like spending time with my dad. He gets me more than anyone else in this house. We're a lot alike, but not like my mom and Billy are alike. And I always have a good time chatting with Beth. We're going to take Eric to Disney On Ice, I'm excited.
On Saturday I had to work again. But it really wasn't that bad. We closed the track at 1015, because we had I think a total of 5 racers from about 7 to 930, and they were in 2 groups. So we decided to go home. I really don't mind working Saturday nights. I like working with Greg, he's a lot of fun. And I get a lot of cleaning and stuff done, so on Sunday there isn't so much to be done.
Today I worked until 3, and I worked with Melissa who rocks. We decorated the tree, and listened to RENT and stuff. And we ate my free pizza. We're pigs, what can I say. There were certaing people who I tried to stay away from today, actually just about everyone except Mel and Tucker. I didn't want anything to happen that was going to make me grumpy when I left. Haha, but poor Brian, I got the good party today. I had a noon party of like ten 9 year old boys. They were really good though, I was surprised. And I thought the mom was going to be a bitch, but she wasn't. All the parents that were there were very nice. Brian got the party with the weird kids, lol. Whatever, we all have them.
I went to the Chrismas/Cast party at Tom's after I left work today. I had so. much. fun. that it should be illegal. But I'll save the best part for last, even though that was at the beginning. I saw just about all the important people, especially Genney and Gina and Alli. We talked and sang and it was loads of fun. I found out that Chris for some reason left Godspell to do Whorehouse, but thats good for me. Chris rocks. Alli started bother Colin as soon as she came in. I was laughing at her, so she looked at me and said "I just like to pick on him" Then she and Marlena put Colin's hair in a ponytail, and Genney and I laughed so hard. We snorted, too, and made fun of each others laugh. My stomach hurt so bad after that, I don't know if I've ever laughed so hard. And Michael, Erin, Genney, and I had a party in the bathroom to check it out. It was really nice, haha. The paint color was gorgeous and the fixtures were really cool.
But this is the best part. When I walked in, Michael was really happy to see me. We started talking about the plans for Godspell that had fallen through. He still wants/needs me to help him out. I guess Anna needs to be able to do a roundoff, and she can barely do a cartwheel. And they are doing some lifts and wants me to help show how to support and stuff. But then he pulled me into another room and started talking about Ragtime. This is the really best part: He asked me to be his assistant choreographer and dance captain for Ragtime, and really really really wants me to play the part of Evelyn Nesbitt. He said something about how he pays his dance captains a little bit, because it is a lot of work and stuff. That didn't matter as much to me. But oh my stars, I'm going to get paid to do a show. That is incredible, its almost like being a professional. OH MY STARS. This is huge for me. Not to mention that auditions aren't until January 7th. And I'm already in it. I've been asked to be a big part of this production. I just can't get over it.
So now I have just about everything I need in life, except... yeah. But here is a kind of improvement?
