Wedding License + Bridal Shower + Bridal Shower

It's been a busy month! Since our wedding is coming up on Pi Day, we've had a lot to do. mastergode's mom had a bridal shower for me in Miami, and then my best friend flew down from Virginia to throw me a bridal shower in Atlanta. Crazy right? Also, how lucky am I to have two beautiful showers

1. I alternate between patterning and sewing, so sometimes I get to use them. Mostly, I just wanted to use the scrap fabric that wasn't big enough for anything else. 2 of my machines have tables they live in, but they are never out of use long enough to be put away. (Plus one of them weighs 25 pounds, so I don't like having to reset it all the time).

That is my chair as found at the shop. The springs are busted out and the wood is kinda yucky looking, but I have since gotten the scale and dust off the wood and reset the springs. I will replace the upholstery eventually because I'm not overly fond of the color. Oh, and I had to have it because it matches a rocker my grandmother had, and my grandmother was about 2 days from passing away when I found it.

3. I really really want to, but I have to make sure I can afford the trip over. I'll find out in a couple days when I can sit down and go over the books. Do you think if I make a dress to wear and someone says it's pretty I can write it off as a business trip? :)
