about the doctrine of the Catholic church, the more I'm amazed that it still exists.
Seriously, all of the rules the Roman Catholics (attempt to) abide by? All made up by flawed humans. It's sins all the way down!
My poor, poor Breton and his Welsh pirate... They're absolutely certain they are going to have to trade an eternity in Hell for the love they share on the mortal plane.
I have no idea why the Catholics cannot see that driving people to kill themselves and one another is more of a sin than allowing two people to love one another without fear of repercussions in this world or the next. I'm pretty sure that if I killed someone, they'd condemn me as a murderer, a violator of a commandment, but if a priest's sermon adds the final straw that causes someone to be killed, he's not considered an accessory at all. And that, boys and girls, seems like the greater sin to me.
