band of brothers

I thought when school started I would never write in this again, but I am writing more than I did over the summer.  The main thing that I wanted to write about today was my big fat 89% on my first music history exam!  I am so fucking psyched about it.  I honestly think that Dr. Abbott curved the quiz but I am still pretty happy about it, considering I though I bombed it.  Also my weekend was not as hectic and busy as I thought it was going to be.

This weekend was the first home football game of the year, so that means it was the first marching band show of the year.  It did not go as bad as I thought it was going go.   I’m talking in the sense of band manager responsibilities.  This past week I handed out over 80 uniforms, busbies, and belts.  I am so grateful to Nick Fish and Mike Stout for helping me hand out uniforms, and to every member of Kappa Kappa Psi.  This is the first time I have ever really had a lot of Psi members help me out with band responsibilities.  I didn’t feel like I was really rushed getting the van to the field and coming back.  I didn’t miss step off so I am really happy about that.  People in the band seemed a lot more prepared than they usually are.  But all together it was a great day and I would just like to say how grateful I am to have a band of brothers to help me out
