Came across this list while tripping through old posts ... posted on the
11 August 2002, what have I done in 10 years?
Miss Margaret's List
- Travel through India and emerse myself in their culture for a few weeks
- Visit Vietnam and Cambodia
- Go skiing in Canada
- Tour Ireland and find birthplace of Great Granmother (and drink Authentic Guiness)
- To walk along a section of the Great Wall of China
- Ride the Orient Express or Trans-Siberian Rail (I love trains)
- Visit St. Petersburg and check out their kewl underground
- Spend 4 weeks in a Tuscan Villa with all my closest friends and a really cute chef who will cook for us
- Have a go at Rockclimbing
- Try and learn some kind of martial art
- Learn how to Belly Dance - tried it for a bit
- Drag Andreas kicking and screaming to a Latin Dance class
- Learn how to paint
- Take lessons in Playing the Violin (after I am comfortable with Piano)
- See Melbourne from a Hot Air Balloon
- Climb Sydney Harbour Bridge
- Visit Cradle Mountain in Tasmania
- Ride a Camel (real one)
- Visit the Barossa or another wine growing region and be a part of picking wine grapes and help to squish them (then drink the fruits of our loins later on)
- Teach at a University level (probably a short course or something).
- Appear in a movie as an extra
- Sing with (not in) a Band (this would of course mean that I would have to learn to sing properly)
- Do some volenteer work with "at risk teens"
- To be able to jog for 20 minutes and not keel over
- Work out my family tree
- Visit my Gran Wallaces grave
- Try to converse in German
- To be able to understand Italian
- Become familiar with the compositions of some kewl classical dudes and perhaps play one on the Piano
- Compose a song
- Visit Bali or some other Pacific Island and get my hair braided the way that every other Australian does.
- To get Australian Citizenship
The funny thing is that the list would be completely different if I had written it today.
