Touche, Guitar Hero ...

Well, the game just got infinitely cooler with my discovery of Sonic Youth's "Kool Thing". The inclusion of "My Name is Jonas" is quite nice, as well. (It may not be a Pinkerton song but at least it's not any of the awful post-Pinkerton drivel, either.) Okay. It's minorly addicting ( Read more... )

I started out on Easy to get a feel for it. It was totally easy and I was like, "Hell yeah!"

Then I went to Medium and my head exploded. What's this blue color? Why can it not go away?

Dude, wait until you get into Hard and have to actually move your hand and all of that craziness. I can only do Hit Me With Your Best Shot right now, and I'm not very jazzed on getting any better. It makes my hand hurt.

Dude, that's exactly how I am with DDR. With the exception of the, like ... little mission grid in Extreme, I don't have a huge desire to perfect heavy. It's a lot of work and it takes some of the fun out of enjoying the music and the steps. I have a feeling that's how it'll work with Guitar Hero, as well.

Yes, yes. They are essentially the same thing, except Guitar Hero is like the lazy man's DDR. I've plateaued on Medium and I am okay with that.

I've actually managed some Heavy with DDR, but ... I don't know, it's somewhat different in that I think DDR is more intuitive than Guitar Hero. Not to mention ... does the room start spinning after you play GH for awhile? Like ... the wall keeps moving up even after the song has stopped? Headache and a half.

Plus DDR has more songs that I like (and just more songs in general) so it's harder to get tired of. Though I've seen the tracklisting for GH II and it's soooooooooooo much better than III. It'd take me a long time to tire of that. Unfortunately, they don't make it for the Wii. :-(

Well, in terms of Guitar Hero, you've got the hookup. It's the only platform with ALL Of the games, or at least that I could see. Although the Wii gets an Aerosmith expand pack ... *rolls eyes*

Our PS2 is dying but Shaun doesn't want to replace it because it's a "dying" format. But it's so the best console out there.

It is one of the fat ones that first came out or a small one? My big fat one died and we replaced it with the skinny one and it works awesomely. I don't want it to be a dead format...

... one dead Format is enough. :-(

UHHHHHHHHH ... since I hopped on the PS2 wagon late, I'm gonna assume it's the small one. But I'm not entirely sure. And neither do I ... all of my favorite games are on it and it has the best freaking controller.

And since you seem to be my game guru ... I bought songs in the GH store ... so now what do I do with them?

And hahaha ... you made a punny. :-D

Play them? Haha. When you go to your song lists, you hit the... uh, blue button I believe and they will be in those extra songs now.
