"MALLORY, I GAVE THAT TO YOU ON A SILVER PLATTER!!!"

I can say with relative certainty that I hate my 411 class. It's torturous. The reading, the sitting through class and desperately trying to devise ways to participate. But it's no longer about feeling out of place or disliking the atmosphere, just about the reading being tedious (and that word REALLY doesn't express how bad it truly is) and not really getting it. Plus, I hate required participation. I do not like to talk in class and don't feel that it's beneficial. But I can deal with all of that ... this will probably be the first college English course that I will not've gotten an A in. I think I can deal with that too. I say this because I'm currently procrastinating on a response paper.

I don't think I've talked about Ben in here, but he's my Supernatural Japan buddy and, if it weren't for him, I'd probably die of boredom. We pass notes like middle schoolers and it's rad. He just went to Tahoe this weekend and brought me back a keychain which I just thought was so incredibly cute and sweet. I'd have to say that he's probably the coolest person I've met since being in Albuquerque ... he's so much fun.

Okay, um ... other things. Laila and I had a game night while her sister and her sister's husband were in town and it was pretty much the shit. We played Music Catchphrase and kept playing all of the categories that we sucked at (70's, Classics, etc) and so had to either a.) get creative with our clues or b.) spend ten hours pressing the next button. Unfortunately, Laila is funny when she gets creative and is even funnier when she's trying to desperately make me understand her clues, so much so that I'll be laughing so hard I can't talk, let alone get my answer out. Seriously, I had a very close call with peeing myself I was laughing so hard once. Ridiculous!

And that's not even including Deena's operatic singing that she seemed to think was making sense and Noori's emotive gestures befitting of the cheesiest of boybands. Pretty much the best night I've had in a long time.

school, friends
