Contrary to popular belief, the internet is public.

It always greatly amuses me when people, in a huff, delete their journals or make them private after finding out that a brother/sister/mother/father/aunt/uncle/friend has found their account and read something that they didn't like. It's sort of like, hello??? Is this not a public account that is findable not only through your AIM screen name but also through the million places you've linked it?

So it did not surprise me when Shaun's brother found my journal and read stuff that he didn't like which I now have to make friend's only because he could get in "trouble". Which, personally, I think is a bit silly, but Shaun asked and I'm not really going to argue about it. And, while it didn't surprise me, it is a little bit weird. Especially considering that Shaun told me that he read the entire thing, which is five years worth of journal writing, in probably only a few days ...

Although, I have to say, regardless of the ease with which these things are found, it is strange to think about the people who you have no idea are reading this. I might've never found out that he-who-shall-not-be-named read it if I weren't instructed to lock certain things. However, I am huff-free ... I don't say things on here that I'm not comfortable with being public knowledge.

This also warrants a musing about "online" personalities vs. "real" personalities, but I'll save that one for another day. Anyway ... do you want to know why I'm stoked? GRINDHOUSE, BABY!!! Yes. Let me just give you a little run down of why this is amazing: Quentin Tarantino, Nicky Katt, Eli Roth, Rob Zombie ... WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED, I ASK?! I'm so psyched. I mean, I've already seen Roth's "trailer" online, but it'll be cooler on the big screen.
