So, yesterday Age and I went to Valley Fair in San Jose for a fun-filled day of what else but shopping? Dude ... that mall is huge. I remember walking in and going, "Okay, we have to consciously note where we've parked or we're never gonna make it back home." Even with my big ado about it when we arrived, what happened? We forgot where we parked. And the mall ... she is very big and has very many exits. All we knew is that we'd come in by lingerie.
We're by Macy's and I'm like, "Okay, I remember coming in near Hallmark, so I think we came in through Macy's." But we go to their lingerie department and it is very much not the one we came in from. Well, shit. So we figure that maybe we came in through the other Macy's but I was like why would lingerie be in the men's and home department, so I say maybe we came in through Nordstrom's and Age is like, "No, we definitely didn't come in through Nordstroms." So we're walking and we spot the food court and the light bulb comes on as I know that we walked past the food court when we first arrived, so I change our direction and we follow the food court to ... Nordstroms.
Age turns to me and goes, "Came in by Hallmark, my ass!" To which I reply, "Didn't come in through Nordstrom's, my ass!" So that was amusing. I realize that it was pretty pointless to relate that but I found it hilarious. Age was like, "I gotta admit, for like a split second I was terrifed we weren't going to get out of here." Which is amazing. I was like, "Just waiting for the zombies? Dawn of the Dead style." Okay, anyway.
Much wonderful clothing was bought. And Charlotte Russe is totally my new favorite store. American Eagle eat your heart out. Like, it was seriously one of the first stores we went into that day where I wasn't constantly going, "Man, I am too old to be wearing that kind of thing." (Wet Seal, I am talking to you.) The day also consisted of eating at CPK and ferosiously gossping. I adore Adrienne. I truly do. And I really needed that day.
"Okay, that's so going in the MySpace headline."
shopping,
