(no subject)
It surprises me how often I forget about this site. Perhaps my assumptions that no one really wants to hear about the silly little things that are happening to me is affecting my memory now? Who knows. My lack of knowing what to say 99% of the time is definitely playing a part.
Anyhow, I finished term two with high enough grades (yay!). I'm happy about that; it was a tougher term (for me). There was an internal battle between studying and wasting time I had to conquer! I'm so used to doing the latter and being able to get away with A's despite my laziness... (even though the A's are not usually high enough for my impossible standards unless I study).... but I'm rambling! Yay school!
Saturday was an event; my first day as an intern therapist! Arg! I had my first paying client (of course the money goes to the school not me but still - paying means expecting good massage!!!) and I was so nervous I yammered on through most of the massage. Go me. He seemed pleased enough with the treatment though, which is good!
Term three is looking infinitely better than bloody term two!! Dr. Nick, the one I modelled for, is our anatomy and physiology III teacher, which should make things more interesting for me and the rest of the class (everyone seems to learn from him properly). I'm also looking forward to learn trigger points this term - I like giving the good-pain massages better than the relaxing ones, it makes me feel like I'm doing something! And the teacher is hilarious - no beyond hilarious. Flambuoyant men make me happy! I have a therapeutic excercise class (one of the teachers in that one is very easy to look at haha) and joint mobes.... basically the practical moving-around type classes now match the academic (neurology II, a&p etc). I am so relieved. My brain is still in lazy mode.
ooooo yes Christmas made me so immobile. I went to Victoria for 4 days with Matt, and that was amazing. I was so relaxed by the end of the trip... got back just in time for Christmas, where I sat on my rear end for about a week. Ohhhhhh yeah.
My birthday was on Wednesday, for all you non-informed folk!!! I am now 19!!!!!!! Haha!!! Now I can go and infest the adult world and more importantly, get tattoed legally!!! mwahahaha. And if anyone is interested in celebrating with me, I still haven't gone out anywhere!!! Sad, I know, but it was on a Wednesday and I have been busy. Yep. Gifts towards my ink fund are accepted at a Leanne near you :) :) :)
