The latest chapter in the ongoing saga of the Incredible Shrinking Woman. Also, further evidence that the fashion/clothing industry is insane:
Amongst the latest batch of stuff of mine that I picked up from chez

How is it even remotely possible that, having lost two inches from my bust since being sized as a 38 F, I am now two freaking cup sizes larger?!
Because cup size is not a measure of your breasts' size. Cup size is defined as being relative to your band size. So if you lose weight in the band region, but not in the boob region, then because the decrease in band size increases the difference.
In this case, it looks like you lost four inches in the band, and two inches in the boobs, which leads to a cup size increase.
The other thing I'd point out is that most women buy bras that are too big in the band. I rather doubt that you were actually a 38, for instance.
In order to actually provide support (which is the whole point of wearing bras, after all), a bra must be very firmly anchored at the band. My actual measurements are approx. 45 bust, 40 waist, 51 hips, and my band size is 36 (although more properly, 37, but no one makes 37). If you do the math, it comes out that I'm either a 36H or a 38G, and indeed, I usually buy the former and sometimes the latter.

Weird to think that I could lose weight in all places but one! Well, I guess at least my fantasies of being back into normal bra sizes will have to remain fantasies.
I looked up Change after reading your first comment and it does sound really good. I will definitely check them out once I have a bit of money to spend. Thanks for the recommendation!
