September Slosh Announcement
Hello Area Sloshers!
The next Greater Omaha Area Slosh is scheduled for Saturday, September 9, 2006. We will be meeting at the Sam & Louie's Pizzeria on 24th & Cuming (across from Creighton, in the strip mall on the NW corner, behind the McDonalds). New time!!! The Slosh will officially begin at 6:30 PM and will go as late as any are interested. This particular venue will again be having live music (I believe it's a jazz/blues band) starting around 9 PM.
The Slosh tends to be fairly informal with attendance averaging anywhere from 25 to 50 people. We have had as few as ten though too--anything can happen. If you are new, please be brave: walk right in and say, "Hello!" Don't be shy! We usually have at least one new person each Slosh. We are a pretty friendly bunch and will be very glad to have you join us. Please remember that this is a casual get-together held in a public "vanilla" venue; therefore, remember that when choosing your dress for the evening. There will be absolutely no obvious fetish wear allowed--if *MY* grandmother can not see you in it (by her choice, not yours), then please do not wear it to the Slosh.
The Slosh is an evening munch, typically held at a restaurant/bar in the Omaha area. As it has been for years, it is hosted on the second Saturday of the month about nine (9) times a year. That works out to about every other month with some "extras" thrown in for good measure. It is a casual get to know each other type of meet and greet that is open to any and all who have a sincere interest in the D/s and/or BDSM lifestyle. The Slosh is strictly for social purposes only; although there are usually announcements and information regarding other upcoming lifestyle events. There is no agenda, no leadership, no demos, no dues, and no requirements. It is just a super way to have an opportunity to meet other like-minded folks and learn more about the scene in the surrounding areas.
Feel free to forward this to other D/s or BDSM interested individuals or groups [in the Omaha and surrounding areas] that might wish to attend or are open to posting this and other Slosh notices. * Alternative Hedonistic Society (www.ahs-kc.org) "Kinky Kamping in the Woods" held the weekend of September 8-10 in Kansas, NW of KCMO
* Learning to Exchange Power (www.l2ep.com) Annual Family Picnic - held on Saturday, September 16 at Swanson Park in Bellvue, NE (time?). By "Family", they mean all ages.
