the best weekend
Friday, my "Queebie" friends all met up at Pedro's for some cocktails and reminising. It was fun. That was really the best place I think I'll ever get to work at. It's like the people at Quebecor were my own cousins and aunts and uncles. It is still so sad, after seven months, that the plant closed.
Then Saturday was really fun! We went downtown. I had to browse the mall for a few hours waiting for Matt to get out of his meeting. It was kind of uncomfortable because I'm not that familiar with downtown and I felt vulnerable. There seemed to be a lot of shady people around, but I got some christmas shopping done. Then we went up to the Arena to meet my friends and see the Wave game. We were standing out there waiting for a long time after 4:30. Apparently some of the friends were out there but didnt see us, even though we were acting really goofy. Then Kristin and Meghan showed up and Kristin was sick. =-( I felt bad for her. Eventually everyone was there and we got nice cheap seats. Andrea, Andy, and me and Matt jumped the rail and took the seats in the totally open section, and it was so much fun, a very exciting game! Jenny and Lisa looked like they were having a good time too. Everyone else seemed like they might as well have been watching TV at home on the couch.
Afterwards we stood around trying to deside a place to go. Some people seemed really annoyed by the guidelines of places we had to chose from but we ended up at LaPerla, which is never a bad choice. Good eats, mmm. On the ride home, Matt said how much he liked Andrea and Andy. He said they were "really cool people". He said "Jenny is cool too". So it means a lot to me that we agree on people.
