I really think possums. I was just ejumacated about the adult ones recently. The tails are the biggest clue. Mice/rats have pointy noses.

I thought possums at first too. Hmm, but the tails of the little guys you found were much shorter.

Aww. I wonder where mommy is. Aren't they supposed to hook to her with their own or something?

Yeah! I think if they were possums, they would be in their mama's marsupial pouch. So they're probably moles.
