Since it's been forever...
Hi everyone... OK, it's been a long time since I posted, and much longer since I posted anything of substance.
Oh Shut up, you know you've missed it.
In chatting with people, I realized that since I don't post all the time, etc, people don't know big stuff, let alone little stuff.
Still working at Cross Country. Not what I intend to do with the rest of my life certainly. I hate it less some days than others. Since I'm mostly dealing with letters today, it's one of the "not crazy about it, but I can deal" kind of days. Upside: I got to play with a Bentley last week-- so nice... anyone wanna loan me $175,000 so I can buy one? Thanks. Also went to New Jersey to visit Volvo, which went well.
The new place continues to come together. We still need a couch (which we'll be inheriting from my brother), and a table and chairs. But most of the little stuff is set. Wish I had a bathtub though-- hate the shower stall.
And my cat is moving in tonight-- we bought a window seat, toys, brush, and even a snazzy sifting litter box. I expect her to poop or puke on all of it (save the litter box) as well as the furniture, inside a week. But at least she'll have fish, and a bird to watch-- through the glass door, at least. Oh yeah, we got a bird. His name is Pete, and he's very cute.
Jay has the new job, and it seems to be going very well. He's actually working overtime voluntarily!
I am incapable of hearing the song "We Three Kings of Orient Are..." without adding "Tried to smoke a rubber cigar. It was loaded, it exploded..." But I don't know any more than that.
Lots of my Christmas shopping is done-- only a few key people to go. Maybe I won't go totally bankrupt after all. But that's a big maybe.
I've been working at Kays a couple days a week, and I'm happy to report, it still sucks. But less than it sucked when I was there all the time. Any day now, I'll figure out what I want to do with my life-- well, I know what I want to do, but I need a realistic way to get there-- lots of schooling, as far as I can tell. But it'll be a couple years till I can go back to school full time. Stupid so-called real world.
